We present to you the Bechstein model 3 piano with an impressively inlaid ebony cabinet, repolished using the same black french polish and techniques that would have been originally employed. The delicately inlaid fruit wood shows the skill of the original craftsmen who worked on these stunning instruments.
With a full 88 note 7 ¼ octave keyboard, over/strung and under/damper action, the original ivory keys have been professionally polished .The action has been fully refurbished including new tapes, hammers refaced, hammer rest rail felt, etc. Serial for the collectors is 56612.
Comparable to the later model 8 Bechstein, the flagship model, the tone is deep and rich and has to be experienced to be appreciated. Like all our pianos the YouTube video gives a guide to what the instrument sounds like but nothing beats sitting in front of one to experience the majesty of these instruments.
