FAQ'S

Why is viewing by appointment only.

This is to ensure you have the showroom to yourself for as much time as you need in relaxed, unhurried environment. We do not set a time limit and often have customers viewing for over three hours and many return to ensure the right decision is made. We welcome this as it ensures the customer is happy with their purchase.

What should I be looking for in a piano.

This question gets asked a lot by first time piano buyers, the short answer is every piano has a different touch to the keyboard and a different tone. We encourage that you try as many of the pianos as you want to find the one with the right combination of touch and tone that is right for you. Appearance, size, price, name, etc obviously all come into play, but touch and tone should be highest priority on the list.

Are our pianos refurbished.

Restored, refurbished or rebuilt are all catchwords in the piano world and can be a minefield. Many people have many differing views on the subject, and it can get very murky. We do any and all work we deem necessary to sell the instrument in top condition.

Is delivery added at checkout.

Unfortunately, the website is unable to add delivery. However, we work on £1 per mile charge so if your post code is 50 miles from our post code (NG10 4HN) then £50 is the delivery charge (London flat rate £150) and payable on the day of delivery to the delivery driver. We are always happy to give you an exact quote, simply give us a call or drop us a message.

Does the piano need tuning after delivery.

The simple answer is no, the pianos all go out tuned and are moved very professionally. However, the piano will settle to its new environment with differing heat and humidity variables. Due to this, if after three or four weeks you feel there has been a change in tone, then call in your tuner.

Do we deliver pianos upstairs.

We now have specialist delivery company that do take pianos upstairs but please be aware that the cost is very high for this type of specialist delivery service. Contact us for details prior to any purchase to discuss your individual requirements and a receive a quote.
