C. Bechstein, Model 2 Rosewood Repolished Piano £6,000

C. Bechstein, Model 2 Rosewood Repolished Piano £6,000

Fully Restored

Here we are offering a Bechstein model 2 that we have completely repolished in its original french polish as it would originally have been when made. The model 2 is the forerunner to the magnificent model 7, the sevens are rare, two even rarer in fact this is only the third we have restored and considering the number of Bechsteins we’ve restored that says something.

With a full 88 note keyboard that has been recovered. Overstrung and underdamper action that has been fully restored, including hammers refaced, replacement of hammer rest felt, pedal assembly felt, new dampers and tapes or bridal straps.Serial number for the collector 20054

The large stature of this instrument guarantees a depth of resonance to equal any mid sized grand, with the unique lever action that were used in the best Bechstein of this and the seven, this has a smoothness of touch that is unequaled by any other model in the range.
