Here we are offering an original German Richard Lipp in a rosewood cabinet, completely restored inside and out, from a sympathetic complete repolish action refurbishment to our key point of ethos, of keeping things as original as possible whilst ensuring the instrument is in excellent working order, for coming generations to enjoy.

With a full 85 note 7 octave ivory keyboard that has been previously recovered with imitation grained ivory looking key tops, a bonus for those who see the original ivory as a possible issue. Over/ strung and under/damper action that has been fully refurbished including hammers refaced, retaping, hammer rest rail felt replacement,etc. The serial for the collectors is 39102.

Richard Lipp was simply put a visionary when it came to piano building of his day, or any day for that matter, at each stage of the ten processes of piano construction the instrument was rested and another was worked on during this period. He understood the importance of stability , this stands testimony to the fact these instruments are still as incredible as the day they were made. You don’t get that with the ubiquitous U3, straight off the robot assembly line.
