Unique Find

Here we are offering an incredibly rare edition model 1 Bechstein in an exquisite dark burr walnut cabinet that our polisher has completely repolished using traditional french polish. We have only ever restored one other model 1 Bechstein and that was an extremely rare find but to find one in a burr walnut case is unique.

With a full 88 note 7 ¼ octave ivory keyboard professionally polished. Overstrung and under/damper action that has been fully refurbished including hammer refacing, retaping, hamer rest felt replacement, pedal assembly, etc. The string length would challenge any average grand piano with resonance and depth of tone to match. The serial number for the collectors is 56660.

This magnificent piano not only looks very grandiose with its sumptuous dark walnut and original brass candle holders, but is an instrument fit for an professional pianist of the highest level.
